Ayia Kyriaki Church, Paphos

Ayia Kyriaki Church in Paphos (known in English as St Paul’s Pillar Church) is one of the most beautiful venues you can choose for your wedding day ceremony.

Situated in the centre of lower Paphos, not far from the harbour, this picturesque church is set amongst the ancient ruins of St Paul’s Pillar, dating back to ancient times, making it one of the most famous archaeological sites in Cyprus. The grounds are steeped in history and the church itself is made of old stone walls which help to keep the church cool during the hot summer months. Inside there is an impressive and colourful display of icons, giving the venue a unique character.

Ayia Kyriaki Church can accommodate up to 200 guests and offers a fabulous historic setting for a perfect wedding ceremony.
If you choose a church service for your wedding day it should reflect your values and beliefs about marriage as it is a religious ceremony and will be conducted as such.

Owing to its centuries-old heritage, the location of this historic church offers exceptional photo and video opportunities. We therefore highly recommend our professional photography due to the importance of the day. After the ceremony, there is time for outdoor photos in a splendid setting, where guests will have the opportunity to throw confetti.

St George Church, Paphos

St George Chapel in Paphos is one of the most beautiful venues in Cyprus. It boasts a stunning interior of frescoes and offers fantastic views overlooking the Mediterranean. It was originally built as an orthodox Chapel but the church of Cyprus kindly gave permission for Anglican or Catholic ceremonies to be performed here by the relevant church officials from the UK.

It is approximately a 15 minute drive from the centre of Paphos and built within the grounds of the St George Hotel. The chapel is air conditioned and can seat up to 22 guests although it has standing room for many more!

If you choose a chapel ceremony it should reflect your values and beliefs about marriage as it is a religious ceremony and will be conducted accordingly.

Thanks to the décor of this beautiful chapel it offers fabulous photo opportunities during the ceremony which are normally taken by our professional photographer. Following the marriage there will be further photo opportunities outside the chapel where confetti throwing is welcome, before heading back to your villa.

Please note that both churches can perform both Anglican and Catholic ceremonies.
